We all have seen the old adage of movie stars giving birth flat on their back in every moving portraying birth... ever. They usually make it look terrifying and not like something I would ever want to do!
The great thing is that trying different labor positions and birthing positions is becoming the norm and screaming flat on your back is no longer what we expect during birth.
I want to share with you three of my favorite laboring and pushing positions as you plan for your upcoming birth.
You planned for the pregnancy, you planned for the labor, you planned for the birth and you planned for the baby. Did you plan for the postpartum bleeding? Postpartum bleeding can take many women by surprise, especially those who have experienced a cesarean birth. Many think that because a baby was not delivered vaginally, that there wont be as much or the same type of bleeding. Heres the thing, all of our bodies do the exact same thing when we are pregnant.

The single best device that I've ever used as a breast feeding mother.
I have never been a fan of pumping. Its uncomfortable, takes a lot of clean up and I'm just not a huge fan. If it was up to me, I would never pump. Unfortunately, life doesn't always work that way and having a small stash of breastmilk can be life saving sometimes! So what's a mom to do?
In comes the haakaa.
