The Haakaa
The single best device that I've ever used as a breast feeding mother.
I have never been a fan of pumping. Its uncomfortable, takes a lot of clean up and I'm just not a huge fan. If it was up to me, I would never pump. Unfortunately, life doesn't always work that way and having a small stash of breastmilk can be life saving sometimes! So what's a mom to do?
In comes the haakaa.
I've recently become a mother of three.
It's been amazing! My kids are wonderful, peaceful and so sweet. They LOVE their little brother and help me take care of him. They love to give him kisses and hugs and they never try to poke him in the eye. My son recently started preschool and getting him out the door is always a dream. He listens when I ask him to get his shoes on, and even helps his sister get herself ready. Preschool drop off is always exciting as he prepares for a new day or learning.
I want to start this blog out by saying that I believe that a fed baby is the best kind of baby. I do not care how it's done but it needs to be done. I think the choice to breastfeed and formula feed are difficult decisions that come with their own set backs and triumphs. Motherhood is so hard and I stand by your choices.
Think back: When was the last time you picked up your phone and invited a friend or acquaintance mom friend to do something with you and your kids? Now, i'm not talking your best friend or your kids best friend that they see every single day. I'm talking about the mom that you know but don't know that well. The one who's phone number you rarely use. The new mom in town or even the mom that you haven't seen for a year or two but follow faithfully on facebook?
Lets be honest, it's probably been a while or even never.
