The Haakaa
The single best device that I've ever used as a breast feeding mother.
I have never been a fan of pumping. Its uncomfortable, takes a lot of clean up and I'm just not a huge fan. If it was up to me, I would never pump. Unfortunately, life doesn't always work that way and having a small stash of breastmilk can be life saving sometimes! So what's a mom to do?
In comes the haakaa.
I've recently become a mother of three.
It's been amazing! My kids are wonderful, peaceful and so sweet. They LOVE their little brother and help me take care of him. They love to give him kisses and hugs and they never try to poke him in the eye. My son recently started preschool and getting him out the door is always a dream. He listens when I ask him to get his shoes on, and even helps his sister get herself ready. Preschool drop off is always exciting as he prepares for a new day or learning.
This year I am offering a group birth prep class each month on the third Friday night of each month. Group classes are a fun and dynamic way to learn about birth and prepare for your birth experience. The great thing about this class is that it is limited to 4 couples. This means that each class is catered to your needs and your questions will be answered.
Inductions: you may have heard of them. Around 25% of women choose to be induced for a myriad of reasons. So how do doctors know if this is a good choice for you? How can they be sure that baby is ready for birth? One way to plan for a successful induction is by calculating the womens bishop score.
What the heck is a bishop's score?
And when I say that it stinks, I mean it literally stinks! Like "peewee, what is that smell?"
Oh wait, its me... and now I want to cry because I'm just now realizing it and i've already been to the grocery store, dropped off my older kids at school and had a long conversation with the principal in this outfit. Why!?!?!
